Within walking distance of delicious local cuisine
There are several places within walking distance of the Culbin Sands apartment to enjoy delicious local cuisine. There are two pubs; The Kimberley Inn and Crown and Anchor Inn which serve local seafood amongst other traditional pub food. The Bakehouse Cafe is also located in Findhorn, offering a changing menu of seasonal food complimented by baked goods produced by their adjacent organic bakery.
Walks and exploring the area
Findhorn has a scenic sandy beach stretching from the tip of Findhorn Bay to Burghead providing approximately 10 miles of beach combing. The Culbin Forest can be viewed across from the Findhorn Bay and is a short drive away. The Speyside Way is a long distance walking trail from Spey Bay (near Buckie) to Tomintoul.
Perfect for the enthusiast
Findhorn Bay provides an ideal location for the water enthusiast. The Royal Findhorn Yacht Club hosts regattas during the summer months. The Findhorn Marina is an RYA training centre offering a wide range of watersports including; sailing, windsurfing, power boating and kayaking.
Diverse wildlife are always nearby
Moray Firth Wildlife Centre is based at Spey Bay where you can spot Dolphins and other local wildlife. The Centre runs Dolphin spotting boat trips. Osprey sightings at the mouth of the River Findhorn are common during the summer months and seals can be spotted basking on the sand banks.
